PCC IMPACT 2023 X Ministry of Finance

Relive the case

We were thrilled to partner up with the Danish Ministry of Finance partnered for IMPACT 2023!

In 2023, participants in PCC IMPACT had the unique chance to tackle a stimulating case presented by none other than the Danish Ministry of Finance. The case revolved around the critical economic strategies and fiscal discipline implemented by the Ministry of Finance to manage the Danish economy.

The participants found the case to be a goldmine of relevance. The intricate details mirrored concepts taught in classrooms, but here, they were brought to life, pulsating with real-world application. Delving into the strategies employed by the Danish Ministry of Finance, students discovered direct correlations to their academic studies. The case was a bridge between theory and practice, allowing them to see firsthand how fiscal policies and economic strategies function within a nation's framework. It wasn’t just a challenge; it was an invaluable opportunity to witness the tangible impact of economic theory in action, an experience that resonated deeply with the aspiring economists in the audience.

What is PCC IMPACT?

PCC IMPACT is an annual case competition in economics, specifically designed for students who want to gain more experience in case-solving. All students enrolled at a Danish University at the time of the competition are eligible for a spot, but the case is created with an economist skill set in mind, and participants are evaluated based on this.

Participants present their solutions in front of employees from the secret case company and our knowledge partner BCG respectively. To secure a spot in the grand final, participants must deliver a solid and innovative solution, presented in a coherent and convincing manner. The final round is open for spectators and the stakes are raised with an even more profiled
panel of judges and the chances to win 20.000 DKK.

What can I gain from the experience?
